The Tanzania-based satellite provider Azam TV has purchased the TV series. It will be voiced over and subtitled in Swahili, Chichewa, Luganda and Kinyarwanda.
‘I’m On Your Side’ and ‘Ruby Ring’ will also be available to users of the Indian VOD platform MX Player. Notably, the MX Player’s library includes over 150 thousand hours of content in 12 languages, while the platform numbers more than 280 million users all over the world. The TV shows will be translated into Hindi.
‘I’m On Your Side’ is a melodrama about a famous young neurosurgeon Anastasia Striletska, who works at one of Kyiv’s best clinics. One day she with the ambulance crew go to a site of a car crash in which she’s told one of the clinic’ clients was injured. However, the ambulance brings her to a pharmaceutical plant’s warehouse, where Nastya becomes an unwanted witness of a willful murder. To stay alive the woman will have to do what the criminals tell her and change her life completely.
‘Ruby Ring’ is a story of two sisters, Anna and Yana, whose lives change dramatically after a car crash. As a result of the accident, the women slip into coma, and their faces are cut and disfigured by broken glass. Thus, neither the doctors, nor the family can tell which of the sisters is Anna and which one is Yana. Anna’s wedding ring with a ruby, which by a fatal coincidence was on Yana’s finger at the moment of the accident, plays the crucial role, and the sisters are mistaken for each other. They will have to make a long way to return their true identities and lives.
Both series were produced specially for TV Channel ‘Ukraine’, and the contract was concluded by the international distributor GoQuest Media Ventures.
We would also like to remind that the Ukrainian adaptation of the Korean TV series ‘Ruby Ring’ has been sold to over 30 countries – from Europe to Asia and Africa. Its characters speak a variety of languages, among which are Vietnamese, Swahili, Arabic, Macedonian, Georgian and many more.
