ALMOST TRUE
Anna Sotnikova is a well-known divorce lawyer, acting exclusively on the side of women. She made this decision after her own difficult divorce after her husband’s, Oleh, who is also a well-known lawyer, unfaithfulness. Oleh didn’t wish to let Anna go, but when this did happen, he left her without means to earn her living and almost took away their only little daughter, Zhenya. Many years have passed since then, Zhenya has grown up, and Anna not only got on her feet but also earned a reputation as a super pro, exposing the machinations of dozens of husbands who tried to rob their wives during the divorce procedure.
But suddenly everything collapses – a series of events completely changes Anna’s life. First, she finds out that her daughter is dating Roman, a guy whom Anna left for Oleg when she was young. Moreover, Roman doesn’t even hide he’s simply using Zhenya to annoy Anna for old insults. Soon Zhenya herself finds out about this, and the irreparable happens – Roman is brutally killed. At the crime scene, they detain Zhenya with a bloodied knife in her hand. Now she’s facing a sentence, besides, the investigator in her case is Andriy, a man who hates Anna. Anna realizes that she can only rely on herself and so she starts her own investigation.
